WWE Network Subscriptions Reportedly Surged Over The Weekend Despite #CancelWWENetwork

The news that WWE released today regarding the WWE Network reaching 1 million subscribers has been met with some surprise at least from those not behind the scenes in WWE.

Following Sunday's controversial Royal Rumble pay-per-view the #CancelWWENetwork hashtag was trending for 14 hours leading to concerns that a large portion of fans may start unsubscribing in protest.

However, the opposite seems to have happened. F4WOnline.com is reporting that the 1 Million subscribers was achieved over the course of Sunday and Monday when more people signed up than canceled their subscription.

WWE officials were said to be very happy with the news.
