WWE Officially Confirms Hideo Itami Will Not Compete At NXT Takeover: Unstoppable

WWE has officially confirmed on the WWE Network's NXT Takeover: Unstoppable Pre-Show that Hideo Itami will not be competing at tonight's event. Itami was scheduled to compete against Tyler Breeze and Finn Balor in a Triple Threat Match to determine the number-one contender for the NXT Championship.

WWE reported on the pre-show that Itami was attacked in a parking lot earlier today, purportedly by NXT Champion Kevin Owens, resulting in an injury that rendered him unable to compete tonight.

In reality, Itami, as previously reported, will be out of action for approximately six months due to a shoulder injury he recently suffered. It was announced then that he would be unable to compete at tonight's event.
